CGTech to Exhibit at Farnborough Airshow
CGTech Ltd. will exhibit the latest version of its Vericut® cnc machine simulation and optimization software at the Farnborough International Airshow 2008 July 14–20 at Farnborough, UK, in the borderlands of Hampshire and Surrey.
Version 6.2 of Vericut features several enhancements that increase the ability of manufacturing engineers to develop, analyze, inspect, and document CNC programming and machining processes used in the aerospace and defense industries.
The CGTech stand (A30 in Hall 1 of the exhibition centre) will feature the Vericut Aerospace Simulation Gallery, which will be showing simulations of aerospace component machining operations involving turbine blades and wing ribs. In addition to 5-axis machining, the gallery will highlight such other CNC processes as water-jet cutting and riveting assembly, as well as robotic and parallel kinematics machines.
Vericut is used by the world’s leading aerospace manufacturing companies and features interfaces to all the leading CAD/CAM and product lifecycle management systems found in that industry, including CATIA V5, Siemens NX, PTC, Mastercam, EdgeCAM, and GibbsCAM. Interfaces are also available for PowerMill, from Delcam, and hyperMill, from Open Mind Technologies.
Headquartered in Irvine, California, in the United States, and with offices and resellers worldwide, CGTech specializes in numerical control (NC/CNC) simulation, verification, optimization, and analysis software technology for manufacturing. Vericut, introduced in 1988, has become an industry standard for simulating cnc machining to detect errors, potential collisions, or areas of inefficiency. The software is used by companies of all sizes, universities, and government agencies.
